*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Tisjön in Dalarna County, Sweden is a typical Swedish lake where water temperature varies strongly with season, weather and depth. In spring the surface often sits between about 2–10 °C (36–50 °F) as snowmelt and cool air dominate. By early to midsummer temperatures commonly rise to roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F), with the warmest weeks sometimes pushing surface values to 20–24 °C (68–75 °F) on shallow sheltered bays during heat spells. In autumn the water cools again to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) before freezing begins; winter temperatures around or just below 0 °C (32 °F) are typical once the lake ice forms.
Swimming at Tisjön is generally possible and permitted under Swedish access rules, and many visitors swim in summer when surface temperatures are comfortable. However, suitability for bathing depends on the actual temperature, local water quality and safety conditions; colder water increases risk of cold shock and hypothermia, and ice or unstable shorelines make swimming hazardous in winter. It is advisable to use designated bathing spots if available, heed posted warnings, and check recent local information on water quality and ice thickness before entering the water.
