*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Silver Lake (Srebrno jezero) in eastern Serbia, an artificial offshoot of the Danube near Veliko Gradište, is one of the country's most popular freshwater tourist resorts. Swimming is not only allowed but highly encouraged at the lake, which features well-maintained sandy and paved beaches. The water is often praised for its clarity, due to natural filtration through the surrounding sandy dunes, and is regularly tested and certified as suitable for recreational bathing by public health authorities during the peak summer season.
The lake experiences characteristic Central European seasonal temperature fluctuations. During the cold winter months, from approximately December to March, the water temperature is very low, typically ranging from 2∘C to 6∘C, and is unsuitable for swimming, often forming ice near the shores. However, due to its relatively shallow depth, the lake warms up considerably in summer. In July and August, the surface water reaches a very pleasant temperature for swimming, usually spanning 22∘C to 25∘C, making it a viable inland sea substitute.
