** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Rabisha (Рабишко езеро) is a karst lake in northwestern Bulgaria whose water temperature varies considerably with the seasons. During winter the surface typically hovers around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and can approach freezing in cold spells. Spring brings a gradual warming to roughly 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) as air temperatures rise and sunlight increases. In the warmest months of summer the lake commonly reaches about 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) at the surface, making it the most comfortable period for bathing. Autumn cooling generally sees temperatures fall into the 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) range before the lake returns to winter lows.
Swimming in Lake Rabisha is generally allowed and is a popular summer activity, because the lake is publicly accessible and there are informal spots used for bathing. There are no widespread official prohibitions, but facilities such as marked beaches or lifeguards may be limited, and water conditions can change rapidly due to wind, depth variations, and underwater features typical of karst basins. Water quality is usually acceptable for recreation, yet visitors are advised to check local notices, avoid swimming alone, and be cautious near steep drop-offs and in cooler shoulder seasons when temperatures can be uncomfortable and hypothermia risk rises.
