*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Ečka fish pond, located near the village of Ečka in the Banat region of northern Serbia, is one of the largest fish farming complexes in the country. It consists of a network of shallow ponds surrounded by open fields and wetlands. Because of its shallow depth and the continental climate of the area, the water temperature changes significantly with the seasons. In spring, the ponds usually warm from 10 to 16 °C, while in summer temperatures reach 22–28 °C, occasionally higher during heatwaves. In autumn, the water cools to 14–18 °C, and in winter it often drops below 4 °C, with ice sometimes forming on the surface.
Swimming in the Ečka fish pond is generally not allowed because the area is primarily used for aquaculture, breeding various freshwater fish species such as carp and pike. The water is shallow and contains aquatic vegetation, making it unsuitable for bathing. However, the site is well known for fishing and birdwatching, attracting nature lovers throughout the year. The warm water during summer months supports rich biodiversity, and the tranquil surroundings make Ečka a significant ecological and recreational area in northern Serbia.
