Lake Turija is an artificial reservoir located in the western part of North Macedonia, near the town of Makedonski Brod. Surrounded by hills and forests, the lake has a calm surface and clear water, making it a popular local destination for relaxation and fishing. The water temperature varies according to the season: during winter it is around 3–6 °C, while in summer it rises to 21–25 °C, depending on weather and water level. The shallow edges warm up quickly in late spring, making the area pleasant for recreation and nature walks.
Swimming in Lake Turija is allowed and occasionally practiced by locals during the warmer months, especially in July and August. The water is clean enough for short swims, although the lake is primarily used for irrigation and fishing.
