** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Kuremaa in Estonia typically follows the seasonal patterns of shallow inland lakes in the region. In spring the surface water commonly ranges from about 2–12 °C (36–54 °F) as the ice melts and the lake warms. During the main bathing season in summer, surface temperatures usually sit between roughly 17–24 °C (63–75 °F), and in warm spells can approach 25–26 °C (77–79 °F). In autumn the water cools again to around 6–15 °C (43–59 °F), and through the winter months the lake is often ice-covered with liquid water near freezing, about 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) beneath the ice.
Swimming in Kuremaa is generally allowed and is a common recreational activity, particularly at the park and beach areas where people access the shore. The lake is publicly accessible and used for bathing when conditions are suitable, but practical and safety considerations limit swimming in colder months when ice is present. Occasional water-quality advisories, for example for algal blooms during warm weather, can temporarily restrict swimming, and there may not always be lifeguards on duty, so swimmers are expected to exercise normal precautions and follow local guidance.
