*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Kaiavere Lake (Kaiavere järv) is a modest Estonian lake whose water temperatures follow the familiar seasonal pattern of inland lakes in the region. In spring (April–May) surface temperatures generally rise from around 2–12 °C (36–54 °F) as ice melts and the sun warms shallows. Summer months (June–August) bring the warmest conditions, commonly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) at the surface on sunny days, though shallow bays can be a few degrees warmer. In autumn (September–October) temperatures cool back to roughly 5–12 °C (41–54 °F) and by late autumn and winter the lake is near freezing, often around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and may be ice-covered for extended periods.
Swimming in Kaiavere Lake is generally possible and not formally restricted, as with most public lakes in Estonia, but it depends on conditions. Recreational bathing is practical mainly in summer when surface temperatures are comfortable, yet swimmers should be mindful of fluctuating weather, colder deeper water, the absence of lifeguards at many rural sites, potential aquatic vegetation and occasional water-quality issues such as algal growth. Local signs or municipal guidance will note any temporary restrictions; otherwise people swim there for leisure and angling-related activities when conditions permit.
