Hirs'ke Oko Lake (also known as Bukovynian Eye), located in the Chernivtsi Oblast, is a picturesque natural reservoir typical of a mountainous area. Due to its location and feeding by underground springs, the lake's water temperature remains consistently cold throughout the year. Even on the hottest summer days (July-August), the water generally does not warm up above 12−14∘C. This low temperature is characteristic of spring-fed lakes in the Carpathians, making the body of water more an object for admiration than for prolonged swimming.
