Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Dombrovs'koho Kar'yeru Reservoir (Dombrovsky Quarry Reservoir), likely located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (near Kalush), is an artificial water body formed at the site of a large industrial object and is notably deep. This factor significantly influences the water temperature. Although the surface layers and shallow areas near the banks can warm up to a comfortable 20−23∘C in summer (July-August), the water at depth remains consistently cold. Due to this significant temperature difference, the water in the reservoir often feels cool, and prolonged swimming can be uncomfortable. The swimming season here is shorter than in shallow lakes.
The swimming opportunities at the Dombrovs'koho Kar'yeru Reservoir exist, but they require caution. Since this is a technical reservoir not originally designated for recreation, official beach infrastructure may be absent. Visitors generally use informal beaches, but due to the sharp increase in depth and cold currents at the bottom, swimming here is potentially more dangerous than in conventional water bodies. Nevertheless, on hot days, the shallow areas offer a refreshing dip. It is always important to remember the great depth and avoid swimming far from the shore.
