*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Einavatnet (Norwegian: Einavatnet) is a freshwater lake in Innlandet County, Norway. Water temperatures vary seasonally and with depth and weather. In winter the surface commonly freezes and temperatures hover around 0 °C (32 °F). During spring the lake typically warms from roughly 1–8 °C (34–46 °F) as snowmelt and cool air still influence conditions. In summer, surface readings often range from about 14–20 °C (57–68 °F) on warm days, occasionally reaching low 20s °C (low 70s °F) in heat spells. Autumn sees a steady cooling back to roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) before the onset of ice.
Swimming in Einavatnet is generally possible and commonly practiced during the warmer months because shorelines are accessible and there are no blanket prohibitions on recreation in many parts of the lake. Seasonal ice makes winter swimming only for those prepared for ice baths or with special supervision. Even in summer, swimmers should be aware that water can feel colder than air temperature, conditions can change quickly, and deeper water stays significantly cooler than the surface. Observing local signage, respecting private property, and taking standard safety precautions for cold-water and open-water swimming is advisable.
