*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Østre Fyllingen is a small lake in Oslo County that offers typical forest-lake conditions for water temperature and recreational bathing. Seasonal surface temperatures commonly range from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) in spring (April–June), rise to roughly 16–23 °C (61–73 °F) in the warmest summer months (July–August), fall back to about 8–14 °C (46–57 °F) in autumn (September–October), and often sit near freezing 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) through the coldest winter months when ice can form. Local weather, extended heat spells or cold snaps, and stratification can push temperatures somewhat outside these bands, and deeper water will usually be colder than the surface.
Swimming at Østre Fyllingen is generally permitted under Norway’s public right of access (allemannsretten) and many visitors bathe there in summer, but there are no guaranteed lifeguards or formal bathing facilities. Access and safety depend on shoreline conditions, water clarity and recent runoff; after heavy rain quality can vary. Bathers should check for any local signage or restrictions, be mindful of cold-water shock even on warm days, and use judgement regarding children, non-swimmers and ice conditions in winter.
