The city of Ukrainka lies on the right bank of the Dnieper River, just south of Kyiv, where the river broadens into a calm, reservoir-like stretch. In this area, the Dnieper warms up quite well during the summer, with water temperatures usually ranging from 21 to 25°C in July and August. The wide expanse and slow current create favorable conditions for swimming and other water activities such as paddleboarding and kayaking. On hot days, the water near the shore can feel especially warm and pleasant.
