The city of Ukrainka lies on the right bank of the Dnieper River, just south of Kyiv, where the river broadens into a calm, reservoir-like stretch. In this area, the Dnieper warms up quite well during the summer, with water temperatures usually ranging from 21 to 25°C in July and August.
