*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Lėvuo is a lowland river in northern Lithuania whose water temperature varies strongly with season, weather and local depth. In winter the river commonly approaches freezing and often has surface ice; temperatures of open water or just beneath the ice are typically around 0 °C (32 °F) or slightly above. In spring, as snowmelt and runoff cool and then warm the channel, temperatures commonly range from about 1–10 °C (34–50 °F). During summer the river warms to its most comfortable levels for bathing, often sitting between roughly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) in typical years, with occasional heat spells pushing parts of the channel toward 24–25 °C (75–77 °F). In autumn temperatures fall back through approximately 8–14 °C (46–57 °F) before winter ice forms.
Swimming in the Lėvuo is possible in many places, but it is not uniformly regulated or managed as a formal municipal beach along the whole course. Whether bathing is advisable depends on local water quality, currents, submerged obstacles and boat traffic, so swimmers should choose known safe spots or designated sites where available and check current conditions. In winter many Lithuanians practice ice swimming in controlled locations, but open-water winter swimming on a flowing river requires particular caution and safety measures.
