*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Šušvė is a modest river in central Lithuania whose water temperatures follow a clear seasonal rhythm typical of temperate Baltic streams. In winter the river is usually close to freezing, with water around 0 °C (32 °F) beneath ice or in slow-flowing reaches. During spring thaw temperatures commonly rise into the 2–10 °C (36–50 °F) range as snowmelt and rain feed the flow. Summer brings the warmest conditions: typical surface temperatures are roughly 16–23 °C (61–73 °F), and in shallow, sun‑exposed pools during heat spells local readings can approach 25 °C (77 °F). In autumn the river cools again, commonly falling into the 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) band as air temperatures drop and daylight shortens.
Swimming in the Šušvė is possible in many places but is not uniformly regulated; there are no widespread official bathing areas or lifeguards along most of the course, and some stretches pass through protected or agriculturally influenced landscapes where access or water quality may be limited. Because of variable currents, submerged obstacles, and seasonal cold, swimming is safest in summer when temperatures are highest and in clearly accessible, sheltered spots. Local advisories, water‑quality reports and signage should be checked before entering, and conservation rules must be respected in reserves or sensitive habitats.
