** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Ebro (Spanish: Ebro) as it courses through Navarre shows clear seasonal shifts in water temperature driven by altitude, flow and reservoir regulation. In winter the river typically runs cold, around 5–10 °C (41–50 °F), while spring brings a gradual rise to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). Peak warmth usually occurs in July and August, with surface temperatures commonly between 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) in calmer stretches and reservoirs; autumn cools again to about 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). Local conditions such as recent rainfall, snowmelt, and dam releases can produce short-term departures from these ranges, and deeper or faster-moving sections remain noticeably colder than shallow backwaters.
Swimming is possible in many parts of the Ebro in Navarre, and during warm months people often bathe in slower reaches and impoundments, but permissions and safety vary by spot. Water quality is monitored in popular bathing areas and can be affected by agricultural runoff or algal growth, so advisories may restrict use. Strong currents, submerged obstacles and regulated releases near weirs or reservoirs create hazards; for those reasons signage, local rules and up-to-date quality reports should be consulted before entering the water.
