** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Zaragoza (en español: Zaragoza) is a city in the Aragon region of northeastern Spain with several nearby reservoirs and the Ebro River running through it. Water temperatures in local lakes and reservoirs vary by season: in winter surface temperatures commonly range from about 4–10 °C (39–50 °F), in spring from roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F), in summer from approximately 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), and in autumn from near 12–20 °C (54–68 °F). These are typical surface values for shallow bathing areas and can be a few degrees cooler in deeper sections or after windy, rainy periods. The Ebro itself may be cooler or warmer locally depending on flow and tributary inputs.
Swimming is permitted in many designated reservoir and embankment areas around Zaragoza during the warmer months, provided local authorities have declared the water safe; these spots often have seasonal lifeguards, marked swim zones and rules to protect water quality. Swimming in the river within the urban core is usually discouraged or restricted because of variable currents, debris and occasional water-quality issues. Bathing decisions hinge on official water-quality monitoring, visible algae blooms, signage and safety provisions, so visitors should follow local notices and regulations before entering the water.
