*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Amposta (Spanish: Amposta) sits at the head of the Ebro Delta in Catalonia, and the nearby lakes, lagoons and river channels show seasonal variation in water temperature. In the delta’s shallow, often brackish waters, winter temperatures commonly fall to about 10–14 °C (50–57 °F). Spring sees a steady rise, typically 14–20 °C (57–68 °F). In summer the shallow lagoons and sheltered river arms warm most, often reaching 22–28 °C (72–82 °F) on warmer days, while autumn temperatures generally decline to roughly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) as the season progresses.
Swimming opportunities around Amposta depend on location and regulation. Public beaches on the Mediterranean edge of the delta and designated river bathing spots are generally open for swimming when local authorities deem water quality safe; these are monitored and signposted. Many of the inner lakes and marshes, however, lie within the Ebro Delta Natural Park or are important bird habitats, and access or swimming may be restricted or discouraged to protect wildlife and because water quality can vary in shallow, stagnant areas. Visitors should follow local signage and seasonal guidance from municipal or park authorities before entering the water.
