*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Tylihul Estuary, located on the border of Odesa and Mykolaiv Oblasts, is one of the largest and is considered one of the cleanest coastal salt lakes in Ukraine. Due to its shallowness in most parts and its location in the southern, hot climatic zone, the water in the estuary warms up very quickly and intensely. At the height of the summer season, especially in July and August, the surface water temperature can reach +26 to +28∘C, and in shallow bays—even higher, making it ideal for prolonged and very warm swimming, especially for children.
Swimming opportunities at the Tylihul Estuary are wide and varied. The estuary attracts visitors not only because of its warm and clean water but also due to the high concentration of salts and the presence of therapeutic muds, which are used for health benefits. Beach recreation is mainly concentrated on the sandy spits separating the estuary from the Black Sea, as well as near coastal villages like Kobleve and others. Besides regular swimming, the Tylihul Estuary is known as the capital of extreme water sports, such as kitesurfing and windsurfing, thanks to consistent winds and a wide water area.
The infrastructure for recreation on the estuary ranges from wild spots for picnics to small tourist bases and campsites with water equipment rental options. The cleanliness of the water in the estuary is its key advantage. Although the estuary is connected to the Black Sea by an artificial channel, its water maintains a high degree of purity, making swimming here safe and pleasant, offering a unique combination of warm, saline water and therapeutic potential.
