Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Kuyalnytskyi Liman, located just north of Odesa, is one of the saltiest and most well-known healing lakes in Ukraine. The water here is extremely shallow — often less than one meter deep in many places — which allows it to heat up quickly under the summer sun. During the warmest months, surface temperatures can easily rise to 28–30°C, and the dense saline water retains heat for a long time. Because of its high salinity, people can float effortlessly, similar to the experience in the Dead Sea, making bathing both relaxing and unique.
However, swimming in Kuyalnytskyi Liman differs from traditional bathing. The water’s high mineral content can irritate sensitive skin or eyes, and the bottom is often covered with therapeutic mud that feels slippery. Many visitors come not for swimming, but for health treatments — they apply the mud or float briefly for its therapeutic properties. For those who do swim, it’s best to stay in shallow zones and rinse off afterward. Overall, the liman offers a distinctive experience, more about relaxation and healing than active swimming.
