*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Tisaren (Swedish: Tisaren) is a typical Örebro County lake where surface water temperatures follow the seasonal rhythm of central Sweden. In spring, as ice breaks up, temperatures usually range from about 0–10 °C (32–50 °F), rising steadily into summer when surface readings commonly reach 15–24 °C (59–75 °F), with occasional heat spells pushing local sheltered bays toward 25–26 °C (77–79 °F). In early autumn the water cools to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) before lakeside surfaces approach near-freezing again in winter; beneath ice the water is close to 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) even when the surface is frozen.
Swimming in Tisaren is generally possible and widely practised during the warmer months, as public access to lakes and recreational use are customary in Sweden. Designated beaches, piers and gentle shorelines are the most suitable places to swim, particularly in June–August when temperatures are most comfortable. Swimmers should heed local water-quality notices, beware of cold-water shock in spring and autumn, and avoid thin ice in winter; ice swimming is only appropriate with proper safety measures and experience. As with any natural lake, conditions vary by year, location and weather, so local guidance and caution are advisable.
