*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Laguna e Patokut (Patok Lagoon) on the Lezhë County coast is a shallow, brackish coastal lagoon whose water temperature follows seasonal patterns influenced by the Adriatic Sea and by its shallow depth. In winter months the lagoon typically cools to roughly 8–14 °C (46–57 °F), spring brings a gradual rise into the low teens to about 20 °C (54–68 °F), and peak summer temperatures commonly reach 20–28 °C (68–82 °F) or occasionally a little higher in very warm spells. Autumn temperatures usually fall back into the 12–20 °C (54–68 °F) range. Because the lagoon is shallow, it warms and cools more quickly than open sea, so temperatures can fluctuate noticeably between sunny and overcast periods.
Swimming opportunities exist but are nuanced: people can and do bathe in the coastal zones connected to the lagoon and on nearby beaches, yet swimming inside the lagoon itself is often discouraged or subject to local restrictions. Reasons include the protected ecological status of the area, nesting and feeding habitats for birds, variable salinity and water quality in the shallow basin, dense aquatic vegetation and muddy bottoms, and occasional algal or insect blooms. Visitors should respect conservation rules and local signage and prefer designated bathing beaches for safer, more comfortable swimming.
