*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Artificial Lake of Tirana (Liqeni Artificial i Tiranës) is a small urban reservoir in Tirana County whose surface water follows the seasonal pattern of the region. In winter the lake temperature typically falls to roughly 4–8 °C (39–46 °F). Spring warming brings surface values into the range of about 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) as air temperatures rise and sunlight increases. During the warmest months of summer the water usually reaches 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), occasionally a little higher on prolonged heatwaves. In autumn temperatures decline again, commonly sitting between about 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) depending on early frosts or late warm spells. These figures are approximate averages for surface water; deeper or shaded sections can stay cooler and will respond more slowly to air temperature changes.
Officially, swimming in the lake is discouraged and typically prohibited by municipal authorities for reasons of water quality, safety and infrastructure protection. The lake functions partly as an urban amenity and its water has variable treatment and contamination levels, while submerged obstacles, sudden depth changes and the absence of lifeguards create safety hazards. Although some people enter the water on hot days, doing so is at one’s own risk and may contravene local regulations aimed at protecting public health and the park environment.
