** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Liqeni i Paskuqanit (Lake Paskuqanit) is a small inland lake in Tirana County whose surface temperatures follow the region’s Mediterranean-continental seasonal pattern. In spring (March–May) the water typically warms from about 8–16 °C (46–61 °F) as air temperatures rise and inflows increase. Peak summer (June–August) surface temperatures commonly reach roughly 20–28 °C (68–82 °F), making the warmest weeks most comfortable for bathing. During autumn (September–November) the lake cools again to around 12–18 °C (54–64 °F), while winter (December–February) surface temperatures often range near 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), depending on cold snaps and wind-driven mixing.
Swimming at Liqeni i Paskuqanit is possible and is practiced informally by locals during the warmer months, but it is not necessarily an officially managed bathing site. Whether swimming is allowed can depend on local regulations, posted signage, and current water quality; occasional urban runoff, vegetation, and lack of lifeguards or marked safe areas mean authorities may discourage or restrict bathing at times. For safe enjoyment, swimmers should check up-to-date local guidance, observe any warning signs, and consider water quality and safety conditions before entering, especially outside peak summer temperatures.
