** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lacul Titan, a small urban lake in the Bucharest–Ilfov area often associated with Parcul Titan (IOR), exhibits typical seasonal temperature swings for shallow city lakes. In winter the surface commonly falls to around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), occasionally approaching freezing in prolonged cold spells. Spring sees a steady rise, with values roughly 6–16 °C (43–61 °F) as air temperatures warm and sunlight increases. During summer the water can reach about 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) on warm weeks, especially near the surface, while autumn cooling typically brings temperatures down to roughly 8–14 °C (46–57 °F). Local conditions, weather patterns, depth and vegetation all influence these ranges, so measurements can vary from year to year.
Swimming in Lacul Titan is generally not permitted and is discouraged for several practical reasons. The lake is managed as an urban recreational and aesthetic feature rather than a designated bathing area, so lifeguards, monitored water quality testing and infrastructure for safe public swimming are typically absent. Urban runoff and biological activity can affect cleanliness, and sudden depth changes or submerged hazards pose safety risks. Although people sometimes enter the water informally during hot spells, official rules and public-health considerations mean organized or regular swimming is not advised.
