*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lacul Tineretului (in Romanian: Lacul Tineretului) is a small recreational lake in Bucharest’s Tineretului Park. Water temperatures vary through the year because it is shallow and exposed to urban heat; in spring (March–May) temperatures typically range from about 5–15 °C (41–59 °F), rising in summer (June–August) to roughly 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) on warm days. In autumn (September–November) the lake cools again to around 10–18 °C (50–64 °F), while in winter (December–February) surface temperatures often fall close to 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and the surface can freeze during cold spells.
Swimming in Lacul Tineretului is generally not permitted and is discouraged for safety and public-health reasons. The lake is managed for boating, leisure and park aesthetics rather than as a designated bathing area; it lacks official lifeguard services and regular water quality control typical of public swimming facilities. Additionally, submerged hazards and boat traffic create safety concerns. While some people may occasionally enter the water, municipal regulations and park management promote avoiding swimming and using designated, monitored locations if one wishes to bathe safely.
