*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lacul Floreasca, known in Romanian as Lacul Floreasca, is a small urban lake in the Bucharest-Ilfov area whose water temperature follows the local seasonal cycle. In spring the surface typically warms from roughly 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) as air temperatures rise and snowmelt and runoff diminish. Summer brings the warmest conditions, with common surface temperatures around 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) and occasional peaks into the upper 20s °C on very hot days. In autumn the water cools again to roughly 8–16 °C (46–61 °F) as air temperatures drop, and in winter the lake can approach freezing, often around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) with ice forming in cold spells.
Swimming in Lacul Floreasca is generally not sanctioned by authorities and is commonly discouraged for several reasons. The lake is an urban reservoir influenced by runoff, occasional pollution and algal growth, and it lacks formal bathing facilities, lifeguards and regular water-quality monitoring typical of managed beaches. While some people engage in informal or seasonal swimming and watersports, official regulations, signage and public-health advisories may prohibit or warn against bathing to protect safety and health. Visitors seeking swimming opportunities in the region should look for designated, monitored beaches or municipal pools where water quality and rescue services are provided.
