** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Rezervuari i Kasharit, commonly called the Lake of Kasharit, is a managed reservoir in Fier County. Like many lowland Albanian reservoirs, its surface temperature varies by season: in summer it typically warms to roughly 22–28 °C (72–82 °F), while in late spring and early autumn temperatures are often in the 12–20 °C range (54–68 °F). During winter the surface can cool to around 6–10 °C (43–50 °F). Temperatures fluctuate with air heat, inflows, and water level; shallow bays warm faster and can be several degrees higher than the main body of the reservoir on calm summer days.
Swimming at Rezervuari i Kasharit is generally not promoted and is often restricted because the site is a managed water body used for supply and irrigation, with attendant safety and water-quality concerns. Authorities may limit recreational use to protect drinking-water standards, to avoid contamination, and because reservoirs often lack official swim areas, lifeguards, shoreline access, or safe bottom conditions; variable currents near outlets, submerged structures, and occasional algal growth also present hazards. Visitors should follow local signage and regulations; where swimming is allowed, caution is advised and temperatures given above can guide expectations for comfort and hypothermia risk.
