*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Jazinka (Jazinka ezers) typically follows the seasonal temperature patterns of small inland Latvian lakes. In spring the water usually warms from near freezing after ice-off to roughly 2–12 °C (36–54 °F) by late May as air temperatures rise. Summer surface temperatures commonly range from about 15–24 °C (59–75 °F), with shallow bays warming fastest and occasional heatwaves pushing readings a few degrees higher. In autumn the lake cools again to roughly 6–14 °C (43–57 °F) before ice forms; under ice in winter the water is generally close to 0 °C (32 °F). Deeper water remains noticeably cooler year-round, so swimmers will find a marked difference between shallow and deep zones.
Swimming in Jazinka is generally possible during the ice-free months because it is a natural, publicly accessible lake; local practice and municipal regulations determine whether formal bathing areas are designated or monitored for water quality. Restrictions can be imposed temporarily for reasons such as cyanobacterial blooms, pollution incidents, or safety concerns, and winter ice swimming should only be attempted at supervised sites or events. Visitors should check local signage and water-quality notices, be aware that lifeguards are not always present, and choose sheltered, shallow spots if they prefer warmer, safer conditions.
