*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Cavazzo (Lago di Cavazzo) in Friuli‑Venezia Giulia is a relatively shallow, temperate alpine foreland lake whose water temperatures follow clear seasonal patterns. In winter the surface typically cools to around 4–7 °C (39–45 °F), while spring brings a gradual rise to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). In summer the lake is at its warmest, with typical surface temperatures between about 22–26 °C (72–79 °F), occasionally reaching higher on very hot days. During autumn the water cools again, generally falling into the 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) range as the air temperature drops and stratification breaks down.
Swimming at Lago di Cavazzo is commonly allowed and is a popular recreational activity in the warmer months because summer temperatures make the water comfortable for bathing. Several public access points and small beaches accommodate swimmers, and regional authorities monitor water quality and post advisories when necessary. As with many natural lakes, conditions can vary locally and seasonally: inflow/outflow zones, weather after heavy rain, or sporadic algal growth can reduce suitability for swimming, so visitors are advised to heed posted signs and local guidance before entering the water.
