Kozjak Waterfall (Slap Kozjak) is a stunning natural waterfall near Kobarid, surrounded by forest and limestone cliffs. The water flows from mountain streams, keeping it very cold year-round. Even in the warmest summer months, the water temperature in the pool below the falls rarely rises above 10–12°C, and most of the year it stays closer to 5–8°C.
Swimming here is possible but not typical. The pool is relatively small and the water is icy, so only the bravest visitors take a quick dip. Most people come to admire the waterfall, enjoy the hiking paths around it, or explore the scenic canyon rather than to swim.
Because of the cold temperature, even short dips are refreshing and can be invigorating, but prolonged swimming is uncomfortable. Visitors should treat the waterfall more as a natural spectacle than a bathing spot.
