*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Triglav Lakes, located high in the Julian Alps within the Valley of the Seven Lakes (Dolina Triglavskih jezer), are mountain lakes at altitudes between about 1300 and 2000 meters. Because of this elevation, the water remains cold throughout the year. Even in midsummer, the temperatures rarely rise above 12–14°C, and most of the time they stay closer to 5–10°C. In spring and autumn, the lakes are even colder, often just a few degrees above freezing.
Swimming in the Triglav Lakes is not common and is generally discouraged, both because of the low water temperature and the protected natural environment. These lakes are primarily a destination for hikers who come to admire their alpine beauty rather than to bathe. A quick dip is possible for the most adventurous, but it usually lasts only seconds due to the icy water.
