*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Kapetanski Rit is a small artificial lake in northern Serbia, located near the town of Pančevo in the lowlands of the Banat region. Surrounded by fields and reeds, the lake has calm, shallow water that warms quickly in summer. Due to the flat terrain and mild continental climate, the water temperature shows strong seasonal variation. In spring, it averages 12–17 °C, while in summer it rises to 22–27 °C, sometimes even higher during heatwaves. In autumn, the lake cools to around 15–19 °C, and in winter it drops below 5 °C, with ice occasionally forming on the surface.
Swimming in Lake Kapetanski Rit is allowed and fairly popular among local residents during the warmest months, particularly in July and August. The gentle depth and still water make it suitable for recreational swimming, although it is not an officially developed beach. Because it is a natural environment, swimmers should be cautious of aquatic vegetation and soft lakebeds. The water is usually clean enough for bathing in summer, and the peaceful surroundings provide a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation, fishing, and outdoor leisure in the flat landscape of northern Serbia.
