*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Palić Lake, located near the city of Subotica in northern Serbia, is one of the country’s best-known natural lakes. It lies in a lowland area with a warm continental climate, which makes its water temperature relatively high during summer. In spring, the water warms from around 12 to 17 °C, while in summer it typically reaches 22–26 °C and can even rise to 27 °C in hot periods. In autumn, the temperature gradually cools to about 15–19 °C, and in winter it falls below 5 °C, with the surface occasionally freezing. The lake’s shallow depth allows it to warm quickly and retain heat longer than deeper lakes.
Swimming in Palić Lake is officially allowed and popular during the summer months, particularly from June to September. The lake has organized beaches, recreational facilities, and water quality control, making it suitable for bathing and leisure. The warm and calm water provides comfortable conditions for swimming, while the surrounding park and spa area attract visitors seeking relaxation. Although water clarity may vary due to natural sediment, Palić Lake remains one of Serbia’s traditional summer resorts with a long history of bathing tourism.
