*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Pančevo is a city in Vojvodina, Serbia, located near the confluence of the Timiš River (Tamiš) and the Danube. The Timiš is a slow-moving lowland river near Pančevo, which, combined with historical and ongoing industrial activity in the area, often results in water quality concerns. Consequently, swimming in the main channel of the Timiš is generally not officially permitted or encouraged, and is considered risky. Local residents seeking refreshment primarily use the nearby Danube or organized swimming facilities, though some calmer river sections or backwaters may be used unofficially.
The Timiš River’s water temperature reflects its slow, lowland character, allowing for greater seasonal heating and cooling. In the winter months, approximately from November to March, the river cools significantly, with temperatures typically ranging from 0∘C to 5∘C, and ice often forming along the banks, making swimming impossible. During the summer, the water warms up considerably; in July and August, the surface temperature can reach a comfortable bathing range, often between 23∘C and 26∘C. However, this warmth is offset by the necessity to monitor water quality due to the river’s proximity to urban and industrial zones.
