*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Timiș River in western Romania flows across the Banat plain and exhibits clear seasonal variability in water temperature. In spring (March–May) the surface temperature typically ranges from about 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) as snowmelt and rains cool the channel. During summer (June–August) the river can warm substantially, often reaching 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) in shallower, slow-moving reaches on hot days. Autumn (September–November) sees a gradual cooling to roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F), while winter months (December–February) can bring near-freezing conditions of around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) where ice may form in sheltered stretches.
Swimming in the Timiș is possible in some local spots but is not universally regulated or supervised, so it is treated as informal and conditional. Authorities and locals often advise caution because water quality can vary with agricultural runoff, urban discharges and storm events, currents and boat traffic can pose hazards, and there are few lifeguarded beaches. Where municipalities designate bathing areas and publish water-quality results, swimming is more acceptable; elsewhere people swim at their own risk, ideally choosing warm summer days, avoiding after heavy rains, and observing any posted warnings.
