In these conditions, the risk of hypothermia is very high, and prolonged exposure to the water can be hazardous to your health. *** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, lies at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers. The Danube is generally not recommended for swimming along the city proper due to strong currents, river traffic, and historical concerns about water quality, particularly from untreated sewage flowing directly into the river. However, controlled and monitored swimming is permitted at the well-known Lido Beach, which is situated on the Great War Island in the Danube near Zemun, offering a safer and official bathing spot.
The seasonal temperature range of the Danube in Belgrade is significant. During the winter months, from December to February, the water is near freezing, typically ranging from 0∘C to 4∘C, and can freeze over in very cold periods. In the peak summer months of July and August, the surface water warms up considerably, reaching pleasant bathing temperatures that often range from 22∘C to 25∘C, sometimes even reaching 27∘C in shallow areas.
