*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Miljacka River flows through Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is famous for the numerous historical bridges spanning it. Originating in the mountains near Pale, the river's temperature is characteristically cold due to its karst and subterranean sources. In its upper reaches, temperatures can be as low as 5∘C to 10∘C throughout winter. As it flows through the urban area, its temperature rises slightly in summer, but remains quite cool, typically reaching only 16∘C to 19∘C in July and August.
Swimming in the Miljacka River is generally not recommended or practiced, particularly within the city limits of Sarajevo. While the upper parts are cleaner, the river's passage through the metropolitan area leads to variable water quality, primarily due to sewage discharge and urban runoff, rendering it unsuitable for safe bathing. Furthermore, the river’s shallow depth and strong currents after heavy rainfall pose safety risks. The Miljacka is instead appreciated as a scenic element of the city, best enjoyed from its banks and historic bridges.
