*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Dniester is one of the major rivers of Ukraine and Moldova, flowing from the Carpathians toward the Black Sea. Because it passes through both mountainous and lowland regions, its water temperature varies quite a bit depending on season and location. In spring, after snowmelt, the river is generally cold, often no warmer than 8-12°C. By midsummer, especially in the middle and lower reaches, the Dniester can warm significantly, with surface temperatures reaching 20-24°C during hot spells, which makes it comfortable for swimming.
Swimming in the Dniester is quite common in many towns and villages along its banks, particularly where the river widens or slows down. People use sandy beaches and gentle banks to enter the water, and in summer it becomes a traditional recreation spot. Still, caution is necessary: the Dniester is a large river, with areas of strong current, variable depth, and in places water quality may be affected by runoff or human activity. Choosing calm, accessible sections is key for a safe swim.
