** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Dubăsari sits on the Dniester River and the artificial Dubăsari Reservoir, where surface water temperatures follow a clear seasonal pattern. In spring (March–May) temperatures typically rise from about 5–15 °C (41–59 °F) as the ice melts and inflows remain cool. Summer (June–August) brings the warmest conditions, commonly 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) at the surface and occasionally reaching 27–28 °C (81–82 °F) in hot spells. Autumn (September–November) sees a steady decline, with surface readings generally in the 10–16 °C (50–61 °F) range, while winter temperatures hover around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and parts of the reservoir may ice over.
Swimming in the Dubăsari reservoir is physically possible during the warmer months when surface temperatures are comfortable, but it is subject to local regulations and safety considerations. Designated bathing areas may exist, yet authorities often restrict access near the dam, intake structures and shipping lanes; water quality can vary with agricultural runoff and reservoir operations, and organized lifeguard coverage is not guaranteed. For these reasons swimmers are advised to use marked beaches when present, check current local advisories, and avoid areas with strong currents, mechanical installations or boat traffic even when temperatures are suitable for swimming.
