*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Bystrytsya River, flowing through Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, is a clear and lively mountain river formed by the confluence of two branches — Bystrytsya Nadvirnyanska and Bystrytsya Solotvynska. Its waters remain cool for most of the year, with summer temperatures usually ranging from 16°C to 21°C depending on altitude and weather conditions. Near the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, where the river widens and slows slightly, the water can warm up enough for swimming during hot July and August days, though the flow still keeps it fresh and invigorating.
Swimming in the Bystrytsya is common among locals, especially on weekends. People choose calmer areas with shallow, pebble-covered banks for bathing and relaxation. The water is clean, flowing directly from the Carpathians, and has a distinct mountain clarity. Because of the swift current in some sections, it’s best suited for short dips and cooling off rather than long swims, but the scenery — with forested hills and the sound of rushing water — makes it a memorable place for summer recreation.
