*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
In Ivano-Frankivsk, the Bystrytsya River (formed by the confluence of the Nadvirnyanska and Solotvynska branches) passes close to the city, but much of its upper course remains in mountainous or semi-mountainous terrain. Because of this origin, the water is relatively cool for much of the year, particularly outside the peak of summer. During July and August, in slower and sunlit stretches within or near the city, the temperature might rise into the low to mid 20s °C, especially near shallow banks, but in deeper or faster current zones it stays noticeably cooler.
Swimming directly in the river inside the city is possible but is more of an informal activity than a regularly maintained pastime. The riverbanks in the city are often steeper or lined with vegetation, so access is limited in places. Locals sometimes choose calmer bends or small side arms with gentle slopes for bathing. Still, the river is more valued for its scenic and ecological presence than as a primary local beach — most people prefer more managed swimming venues or reservoirs for safety, convenience, and water quality.
