*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Strypa River is one of the notable water bodies in the Ternopil Oblast, and as a typical river for the region, it is characterized by a fairly moderate current and shallow depth in most places, especially where it is not contained by dams. Due to this, the water in the Strypa warms up quickly during the summer months, from mid-June to August. The water temperature during this period reaches comfortable swimming levels, typically ranging between +20 and +24∘C, creating pleasant conditions for cooling off.
Swimming opportunities on the Strypa exist, but they are primarily concentrated in equipped recreational areas or near resort bases, such as those near the village of Skomorokhy. In such locations, the shoreline is cleaned, the bottom is checked, and sometimes sand is even added. At the same time, unauthorized mass swimming in the river, particularly near hydraulic structures like dams or locks, is dangerous due to potential strong currents and the risk of entrapment.
Therefore, while the Strypa is a river with warm summer water that allows for swimming, one should be very cautious when choosing swimming spots. It is recommended to use only those sections that are officially equipped for recreation to avoid accidents and issues related to the river's possible ecological condition.
