*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Ozero Podorozhnye, also known locally as Yama (The Pit) or Dal'neye (The Far One), is a quarry-type lake in the Lviv Oblast distinguished by its exceptional depth. The maximum depth of this lake reaches 115 meters, with an average depth of about 30 meters. This is an extremely deep water body of quarry origin, which is the defining factor for its water temperature. Due to such depth and relatively low surface water inflow, the water in Ozero Podorozhnye warms up significantly slower and remains cold even during the hottest summer periods. In the summer months, the surface layer may reach +18 to +20∘C, but the water will be much cooler at a shallow depth.
Regarding swimming opportunities, Ozero Podorozhnye is a wild and undeveloped recreational area. Unlike neighboring recreational lakes, it completely lacks official beach infrastructure: there are no lifeguard posts, no equipped beaches, and the bottom is not surveyed. Its shores are poorly adapted for mass recreation, often overgrown with vegetation, and entry into the water can be steep and dangerous due to its quarry origin.
Thus, swimming in Ozero Podorozhnye is not recommended and carries a high risk due to the sudden changes in depth, cold water, and the complete absence of rescue supervision. This place is more suitable for lovers of wild nature, fishing (often free), and setting up tents from the side of the village Podorozhnye. It attracts visitors with its scenery but demands maximum caution.
