Vynnykivs'ke Lake, located near Lviv, is one of the oldest and most popular recreational areas in the region, historically often receiving official permits for the swimming season. The water body is part of a large complex that has been significantly modernized in recent years and now includes not only the lake but also a modern resort. Since the lake is not located in the mountains and has moderate depth, the water warms up well during the summer. At the peak of the season, typically in July and August, the water temperature reaches a comfortable +21 to +24∘C, which is ideal for prolonged and safe swimming.
The swimming opportunities at Vynnykivs'ke Lake are excellent. Several recreational areas operate here with equipped sandy beaches, where sun loungers, umbrellas, changing rooms, and showers are installed. Crucially for safety, rescue and medical services are established on the lake territory, and the swimming area is often enclosed by buoys. The clean water and developed infrastructure make it an ideal place for family recreation and mass swimming.
