The Plitvice Lakes are famous for their turquoise waters, waterfalls, and stunning natural scenery, but they are not a place for swimming. The water here remains relatively cold throughout the year, usually staying between 8 and 15°C depending on the season, as the lakes are fed by springs and mountain streams. Even in summer, the temperatures do not reach levels that would be considered comfortable for bathing.
