Okorske Lake, located in the Volyn region of northwestern Ukraine, is a scenic natural lake surrounded by forests and small rural settlements. It is moderately deep, which means the water warms up more slowly than in shallower lakes nearby. During summer, temperatures typically reach about 20–22°C (68–72°F), while in spring and autumn the water remains cooler, around 14–17°C (57–63°F). In winter, the surface often freezes completely, turning the lake into a calm and reflective landscape.
Swimming in Okorske Lake is enjoyable during the warm months, especially from June to August, when the water becomes comfortable and the air is filled with the scent of pine and meadow grasses. The shores are partly sandy, with areas suitable for entering the water easily. The environment is quiet and largely untouched by tourism, making it a pleasant destination for natural swimming, relaxation, and enjoying the beauty of Volyn’s countryside.
