Skomir’ya Lake, located in the Volyn region of northwestern Ukraine, is a small natural lake surrounded by gentle fields and patches of forest. The water here warms up gradually in late spring, reaching comfortable swimming temperatures of about 20–23°C (68–73°F) in June and July. In early autumn, the lake cools down again to around 15–17°C (59–63°F). During winter, its surface often freezes, making it unsuitable for swimming but picturesque for walks or winter scenery photography.
Swimming in Skomir’ya Lake is generally pleasant in the summer months thanks to its calm, clean water and soft, sandy bottom in many places. There are no large tourist facilities, so visitors can enjoy a quiet, natural setting.
