** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago di Negrisiola is a small mountain lake whose temperature varies strongly with the season because of its altitude and limited surface area. In spring (March–May) the water usually stays cold, roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as snowmelt and cool nights keep it low. During the summer months (June–August) surface temperatures can warm to about 12–20 °C (54–68 °F) on warm, calm days, though depths remain significantly colder. In autumn (September–November) the lake cools again to roughly 6–12 °C (43–54 °F), and in winter it often approaches freezing, around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), with ice possible in particularly cold spells.
Swimming is typically possible but largely informal: there are no widespread bans specific to many small alpine lakes, so people do swim when conditions are safe and the water is warm enough. However, the combination of low temperatures even in summer, lack of supervised lifeguards, and occasional rocky or steep shores means swimming carries risks such as cold shock and hypothermia. Local rules, seasonal restrictions, or protected-area regulations can apply, so visitors should check signage and local guidance, enter the water cautiously, and avoid solitary or extended swims in colder conditions.
