Location & Local Information
Sukholuchchya is a village located on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the northern part of the Kyiv region, near the Kyiv Reservoir. In this area, the Dnieper is very wide and calm, with water temperatures in summer typically ranging from 20 to 24°C. Because of the slow current and the influence of the reservoir, the water warms up steadily by late June and stays comfortable for swimming through August. The combination of open water and forested shores creates an inviting environment for recreation and relaxation.
Locals and visitors often swim, fish, and boat along the Dnieper near Sukholuchchya. The banks are mostly sandy or gently sloping, and some spots have clear, shallow water suitable for bathing.
