Sukholuchchya is a village located on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the northern part of the Kyiv region, near the Kyiv Reservoir. In this area, the Dnieper is very wide and calm, with water temperatures in summer typically ranging from 20 to 24°C. Because of the slow current and the influence of the reservoir, the water warms up steadily by late June and stays comfortable for swimming through August.
