*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Alcoi (Alcoy in Spanish) sits inland in the province of Alicante, Valencia, surrounded by mountains and several reservoirs and natural pools fed by the Serpis River and tributaries. Water temperatures in these lakes and reservoirs vary with the seasons and local conditions: in winter surface temperatures commonly range from about 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), in spring they warm to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F), summer brings the highest values around 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), and autumn typically cools back to roughly 14–20 °C (57–68 °F). Mountain shade, depth and inflows can make deeper sections noticeably cooler than surface readings, and sudden weather changes can alter temperatures quickly.
Swimming opportunities exist in some of the natural pools and certain reservoirs near Alcoi, especially during the warmer months when surface temperatures are most pleasant. However, whether swimming is allowed depends on local rules, water quality monitoring and the purpose of a reservoir; many water bodies used for drinking supply or managed for flood control may prohibit bathing for safety and sanitary reasons. Even where swimming is permitted, there may be no lifeguards, variable undercurrents, slippery rocks and colder deep water, so following posted signs and local guidance is important before entering the water.
